From the very beginning we followed the evolution of the world wide web and took part in shaping its progression. We are convinced that its fascinating possibilities regarding communication and transfer of information and knowledge are far from being exhausted. But realising that the internet never forgets anything, mere euphoria does not seem appropriate. The benefit of the individual user is rarely the central concern when data aggregation and profiling occur.

We want to apply our sincerity and integrity to create innovative solutions where the interest of the individual users, their rights and their demands, take center stage.

The Founders 

Dr. Stefan Lipgens is founder and managing director of Versaneo. Before that he worked ten years as a senior consultant for IT consultancies. His focus in consulting is on knowledge management, enterprise portals, training, coaching, mentoring, and on project management.

As partner of the Avinci Region Mitte GmbH he built and managed a team in area of knowledge management. In 2002 he took the position of Chief Knowledge Officer (CKO) for the Avinci AG and its legal successors. In this position he was in charge of the corporation's knowledge management assets.

Dr. Stefan Lipgens studied chemistry at the University of Cologne and finished his studies with his dissertation on complex fluids at the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the University of Cologne.

Harald Flörke is founder and managing director of Versaneo. He studied Biology at the Georg August University in Göttingen and subsequently worked as a scientific assistant at the Max-Planck-Institute of Experimental Medicine.

He began his career in IT as a consultant in 1998 at the IBM affiliate Sercon in the e-Business branch. Between 2000 and 2002 he built and led a team in the area of knowledge management at the Avinci Region Mitte GmbH, where he was a partner.

After that he managed the first think tank of the Avinci AG in the position of business director. The think tank involved the development of the eLearning platform Avatal Learn Station based on Java EE technology.

Between 2004 and 2005 he managed a team in the area of business intelligence at Avinci in Frankfurt and from 2006 on he concentrated on managing big and strategic projects for the company which by then had been merged into Logica Germany.

His focus in consulting is on knowledge management, enterprise portals, and project management.

Pia Pauls is founder of Versaneo and responsible for design and PR.

She studied Anglistics and Romance studies at the University of Cologne prior to creating the archive in the press agency of the Lindenstraße for the Geißendörfer Film- und Fernsehproduktion.

Later she brought computers and the internet to the television studios: She initiated and developed the design and the realisation of Lindenstraße's first web site, was in charge of the online community and responsible for two relaunches.

Most recently she worked as online editor for the youth channel YOU FM of the Hessischer Rundfunk where she also supervised the relaunch of YOU FM's web site.
